With our year flying by there is not much time left until end of 2017, and the start of 2018. Here are a few movie titles to be on the look out  if you find yourself at the movies over Thanksgiving or Christmas break:


Thor: Ragnarok – Action – November 2, 2017
‘Thor: Ragnarok’ is the third chapter in Marvel’s solo-superhero series about the ancient god of thunder, Thor, based off of Norse Mythology. The movie’s main character is plagued by visions of Ragnarok (the cycle of war that brings the near death of the gods and restarts of the world.) Thor was sent to Earth to keep the cycle from restarting, but trying to stop Ragnarok, Thor sees no choice but to return to Asgard.

Jigsaw – Horror – October 27, 2017
Jigsaw is the eighth installment of the ‘Saw’ series, all of which are known to be gruesome horrors. They are released every October between 2004-2010 the Friday before Halloween. The Jigsaw killer, AKA John Kramer,  rather than outright killing his victims, tests their will to live via games by using physical and psychological torture. He was killed in Saw III, but the series continued via flashbacks.

A Bad Moms Christmas – Comedy – November 1, 2017
If their life wasn’t hard enough for the mothers to plan a Christmas holiday, these three women must not only put up with Christmas, but they must also put up with their own mothers. In the end, these women find out about the true Christmas spirit.

Murder on the Orient Express – Crime – November 10, 2017
From the novel by best-selling author Agatha Christie, ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ is the story of thirteen (coincidence?) strangers stranded on a train, where everyone’s a suspect.

Daddy’s Home 2 – Comedy – November 10, 2017
After Brad and Dusty finally were able to make peace in their home, they had to get another problem- their fathers. When their fathers come visiting for the holidays, they must now make peace, all over again.


Justice League – Action – November 17, 2017
Taking place after “Batman VS Superman”, after Superman’s selfless act Bruce Wayne, goes around trying to recruit other heroes, for the battle yet to come.

Wonder – Drama – November 17, 2017
Based off the Best selling book: “Wonder” by Raquel J. Palacio, this is the book we all read, in 4th or so grade. It’s about the main character August Pullman, who was born with a facial deformation and had his whole life been schooled at home, and hide behind an astronaut helmet, is finally showing his true self.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi – Action – December 15, 2017
Does this honestly need an explanation? It’s the ninth installment of the ever so popular series, Star Wars, a sequel of the seventh installment.

Ferdinand – Comedy – December 15, 2017
After Ferdinand, a calm bull from a farm, is mistaken for a dangerous beast, he is captured and taken from his home, to fight in the Arena. Determined to return to his family, he gathers some animal misfits, and starts his way home.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle – Action – December 20, 2017
Based off the classical 1995 Jumanji, Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle, rather than being a board game and letting the dangers of the jungle into the real world,is a video game that takes the players into its world. The 4 high schoolers, Spencer, Fridge, Martha, Bethany, must go on the biggest adventure of their life, or be stuck in Jumanji, forever.

Pitch Perfect 3 – Comedy – December 22, 2017
After winning the World Championships, the Bellas find themselves split apart and that, they don’t fit in the normal world. When they get the chance to reunite for the USO tournament, they don’t miss a beat.
