High school in America is very important in today’s day and age. Students at HHS each have a different year they believe is or will be their most important year of high school.
Your academic performance, club participation, sports, and many other elements play an important role with bringing a student through highschool, onto college or another path. If college isn’t for you, then having a successful year in high school can set you up for success in the workplace, trade school, or another option of your choice.
Freshman, Joseph Mosher, said junior year is the most important year.
Mosher- you take the SAT’s and that affects what colleges you can and can’t get into.
Mosher’s opinion best reflects those students who want to continue their schooling through college, but not everyone is destined for that or wants to go to college
Annika Skutta, Senior, expresses as an exchange student, her only and most important year in an American high school is her senior year.
Skutta- “It is giving me a great time and chance to experience a lot of different things that are not happening in other grades.”
Everyone has a different reason for a specific year to be their most important year. No matter what you do after high school, one of your four years is going to set you up for success afterwards.
